About “Chanel”

Hey there! I my name is “Chanel Hughley”, well not really. It's my way of protecting my kids from learning who their father really is while trying to help other mothers rebuild their lives after divorce.

This is my story.

About a year after my divorce, something totally unexpected happened. Friends, coworkers, and even neighbors started asking me the same question: “What’s it like getting a divorce?”

At first, I was surprised. Divorce isn’t the kind of topic most people bring up casually, but I realized these questions were coming from a place of genuine curiosity—and sometimes fear. They wanted to know if divorce was survivable, if there was a light on the other side.

Each time, I answered the same way: “If you can fix things with your husband, give it all you’ve got. But if you can’t, I won’t lie—there are a lot of big decisions ahead. What changed everything was finding a mentor—someone who had been where I was and could objectively guide me through the chaos.”

It worked.

My mentor helped me navigate the challenges of life after divorce. Her guidance was so practical, covering everything from taking control of my finances to self-care, parenting solo, and co-parenting with my ex. With her support, I was able to build wealth and, in just three years, triple my income.

Now, my kids and I have stability again. We have more peace than ever before.

I’ve turned those hard-earned lessons into a mission and a best-selling book. I started @HerDivorceMentor to guide women who are navigating the messy, complicated path of life after divorce. My goal is to empower you to reclaim your confidence, rebuild your finances, and design a future you’re excited about.

If you’re feeling stuck, scared, or overwhelmed, you’re not alone. I’ve been there, and I’m here to help. Whether it’s through my mentorship or my book, When His Mistress Is His Mother, my goal is to provide the tools, insights, and support you need to thrive.

Happily ever after begins now.
